In the spring of 2000, local brothers Kyan & Erin Reeve started Ketchikan Coffee Company in their family run business, The New York Hotel. Nestled in the heart of Ketchikan’s historic Stedman-Thomas and Creek Street districts, this vibrant cafe has become a hub of activity and community, open seven days a week year round.

A desire to bring great espresso to Ketchikan was the real motivation, after being born and raised in Ketchikan, growing up in some of the finer coffee growing regions in the world including Kenya and Jamaica, and graduating from the University of Washington in Seattle, the coffee capital of the United States; an addiction soon turned into a business plan.  We began at the New York Café and have added two satellite espresso kiosks for peddling our caffeine to visitors and locals in the summer months, we’ve enjoyed growing with the Ketchikan community and honing in our craft of coffee quality and service.

The cornerstone concept of the Ketchikan Coffee Company is a focus on our local community and our wonderful crew serving consistently great coffee and food.

We take pride in serving locally roasted Raven’s Brew Coffee and our baristas take every step to ensure our espresso is stored, ground, tamped, and poured perfectly for the most consistent and enjoyable cup of coffee in town. We wouldn’t train each and every one of our baristas for an entire week with periodic refresher courses there after if we weren’t serious about great coffee.Falene Reeve, the real catalyst behind our success, designed a menu that is simple, healthy, and full of great ingredients whether you’re looking for breakfast, lunch, desserts and pastries, or bistro options in the evenings. We offer a light breakfast with our famous bagel and egg sandwiches – ‘the eggle’, baked oatmeal, yogurt and granola sundaes, cinnamon roles and a selection of scones and muffins. We have a wonderful assortment of Panini sandwiches, homemade soups, fresh salads, pasta dishes, and baked appetizers over the lunch hour and into our evening service. When you’re fully caffeinated why not move to our great selection of bottled beers, 6 revolving draft beers, and a fine selection of our favorite wines.

When your town is consistently ranked one of the great art communities in the country, you can’t help but enjoy being a part of it. Ketchikan Coffee Company continues to be a large supporter and showcase for our local arts community. With live music many nights of the week from bluegrass to jazz, ever-changing art exhibits, home of the Richard Brautigan memorial poetry contest, past host of Ketchikan public radio’s live day, weekly winter evening food & flicks, traveler slide shows, and so on, the regulars and visitors alike just keep on coming and enjoying our place. If you haven’t been in, we hope you stop by and try us out!
